A Resolution for the New Year

One of the resolutions I am making for the New Year is to organize myself and make a list of people that I should be sending birthday cards to each month. Of course that means I should also make some birthday cards! The list would be no good if there is no pretty to mail. :)

On that note here is the first of my 2009 birthday cards. This one uses some cute Whipper Snapper stamps and some lovely textured designer paper from Brenda Walton. Hopefully I can make a bunch of cards in January and at least be set for a while. I may even make multiples of my favorites... maybe.

Quick notes: Main image was stamped twice on PTI Select White. First image was completely colored with Copic markers. On the second image only two of the gifts were colored. They were then cut out and adhered with dimensionals over the first image for some extra pop! To create the background I used the numbers from the 29 Again cling set and randomly placed them on an acrylic block creating my own custom numbered background. I then repeated stamped my faux backround on the Cool Caribbean layer of cardstock. That is it for the tricks on this card! :)

All images copyright Whipper Snapper. Stamps: 29 Again (Anna Wight cling set), Pile of Presents. Paper: Cool Caribbean, Buckaroo Blue, Vintage Violet, PTI Select White, designer (Brenda Walton). Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers, Baja Breeze Classic. Other: Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, vintage brads, mat pack, paper piercer, dimensionals.

It's a Birthday Blog Hop!

Guess what today is!? It is Prettie Girl extraordinaire Jodi's birthday. Woo hoo! Hope it is a good one Jodi! To celebrate the Prettie Girls are having a blog hop with lots of birthday goodness. I'm bringing the chocolate of course. A big bowl of M&Ms! :)

The birthday hop started at Christie's blog so if you haven't visited there yet... well you are missing out on some of the fun. *For those of you unfamiliar with a blog hop here is how it works: start at Blog A, read the post and follow the included link to Blog B... repeat until the last blog (aka Blob Z) is reached! Easy peasy, right?

Of course I had to make a card for the birthday girl! I used Flutter By Sophia and some pretty My Mind's Eye designer paper. Oh la la. I added some touches of glitter with the Copic Spica glitter pens.

Are you ready to see more birthday goodness? Well, hop on over to Jillian's blog for the next stop. I'm sure she will have something extra fantastic to share!

All images copyright Paper Pretties. Stamps: FlutterBy Sophia (Paper Pretties), 29 Again (Whipper Snapper). Paper: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, PTI Select white, designer (My Mind's Eye). Ink: Memento Tuxedo black, Chocolate Chip Classic, Copic markers and AtYou Spica glitter pens. Other: Filigree Brads, mat pack, paper piercer, sponge, Dark Chocolate Swiss Dots satin ribbon, dimensionals.

Pretties Challenge

I hope you are having a very Merry Christmas! I spent some time with the family and of course with a plate full of food! This week's challenge is to use some of the newly released stamps (Trim the Tree or Snowflake Kisses) and make a scrapbook page (yup, that is correct) using the sketch over there:

You can find all of the details on the challenge here in the Paper Pretties forum.

I hope you join in the fun. And if the sketch inspires you to make a card... well, I'd really like to see those too so be sure to leave a comment here or in the Paper Pretties forum with a link to your super duper creation. :)

Quick notes on the project: I stamped Sophia in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with copic markers. I then masked her and inked the snow around her with VersaMark, coated with Heat 'n Stick powder, heat set, then coated again with Iridescent Ice embossing powder and heat set. So very sparkly! Although I could have skipped the Heat 'n Stick step (rolling my eyes here!).

For fun I attached a clear button to Felt Flurry using a big epoxy brad from Basic Grey. I then attached the accent to the page with Stampin' dimensionals. I did this a second time for a snowflake on the lower half of the page. For additional bling I added some self-adhesive rhinestone gems. Love 'em - going to have to buy more of them in more colors. To create the title I used white foam Thicker Stickers and some white rubons ("warm" and "wishes"). The half circles were cut using the Coluzzle cutting system and a circle template.

I left an open spot on the bottom half circle for some journaling once a picture is actually added to the page.

All images copyright Paper Pretties. Stamps: Snowflake Kisses. Paper: Chocolate Chip, Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, PTI Select White, designer (My Mind's Eye). Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers, VersaMark. Other: Thickers (American Crafts), Felt Flurries, Epoxy Brads (Basic Grey), Clear buttons, Chit Chat rubons, rhinestones (KaiserCrafts), Heat 'n Sticker powder, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, Coluzzle cutting system, mat pack, paper piercer, heat tool.

Pretties Wednesday: Holey Moley

Hee... taking a break from eating homemade Fantasy Fudge to post today's Prettie Girl challenge card. Two weeks ago Jillian challenged the rest of us to put a hole in it. But not fill the hole. So I decided to make a card with a window peeking in at Sophia ice skating.

Hope everyone is having a great day and that tomorrow is excellent! Happy Holidays!

In the meantime if you need a bit more inspiration check out what the rest of the Prettie Girls have made for this week's holey challenge:

A Lamb of a Gift

Oops... been a few days since I posted! Been a bit busy with some shopping, snow removal and well just dashing here and there! :) However I did take a few minutes to make a gift card holder.

I used the fun Cozy Critters stamp set again as well as the Top Note BigZ die. I basically made a quick and simple gift card holder and attached it to a Top Not shape cut from backing board (nice and sturdy).

The top note shape was covered in paper and chunky glitter from Martha Stewart was glued to the the edges. I added a jumbo eyelet and a piece of cord so the tag could be fastened to a gift bag.

To keep the gift card holder portion from popping open I added a small magnetic snap. The bottom portion of the snap is covered by the ribbon. The attraction between the two pieces was so strong it kept pulling the top piece from the flap when opening so I added the ribbon to lessen the attraction. :)

All images copyright Whipper Snapper Designs. Stamps: Cozy Critters. Paper: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Kraft, PTI Select White, designer (My Mind's Eye). Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers, Copic Spica Pens (red, gold and clear). Other: mat pack, paper piercer, rhinestones (KaiserCrafts), Chit Chat rubons, Baja Breeze grosgrain, dimensionals, Top Note Die (Sizzix, available from SU!), silver jumbo eyelet (We R Memory Keepers), cord, Crystal Snow Glitter (Martha Stewart), 1 1/4" circle punch, Small Magnetic Snap (Basic Grey), backing board.

Pretties Thursday: A Bit of Bug Lovin'

Just wanted to take a moment and share the sample that I made for this week's Paper Pretties' challenge!

The challenge this week is to use the Love Bugs stamp set and the following color combo: Red, Chocolate, Mellow Moss (or similar colors). You can find all the details on the challenge in the Paper Pretties forum here.

Quick card notes: the love bugs were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. I then coated the images with Crystal Effects for a glazed appearance. And no, I'm not loving that button at the top but it is covering a boo boo. :)

All images copyright Paper Pretties. Stamps: Love Bugs Paper: Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip, PTI Select White, Ruby Red Patterns designer. Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate Chip Classic, Copic markers. Other: hemp twine, buttons (Basic Grey), small oval punch, mat pack, paper piercer, sponge, dimensionals, Spring Moss Swiss Dots Satin ribbon, Crystal Effects.

Pretties Wednesday: Going going plaid!

Two weeks ago Prettie Girl Jackie R. challenged the rest of us to make a card using plaid patterned paper. Huh. I haven't used plaid in a long time so I had to really go digging through my huge pile of designer paper and found some that I bought years ago! I could tell it was really old cause it was towards the bottom of the stack. :)

For more inspiration check out what the rest of the Prettie Girls have made for this week's colorful challenge:
Charmaine Ikach

Jackie Rakoski

Quick notes: I stamped the all new January SOTM Paper Prettie, Gliding By Sophia, in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. I then masked the image and the ground (torn piece of scrap paper) and sponged some Brocade Blue Classic ink onto the exposed portions of the cardstock to create a blue sky. Sophia's dress was paper pieced from the same plaid designer paper I used in the background. Next I cut the image out with a rectangular Nestabilitie and embossed. I added a bit of paper piercing along the embossed edge for extra oomph! I then layered on a scalloped rectangle of Always Artichoke (used another Nestabilitie) and finnaly on a piece of paper pierced Kraft cardstock.

For the background I layered a paper pierced piece of green plaid designer paper on a slightly larger mat of Chocolate Chip. This was then adhered to a 5 1/8" square piece of Bravo Burgundy cardstock. Some paper piercing was added to the upper right corner and ribbon knotted around all three layers. This was then mounted on a 5 1/4" Kraft cardbase and the main image was adhered on top of both with dimensionas. Some die cut stars were paper pierced, decorated with exposy brads and added to the card with more dimensionals. The final step was to stamp a sentiment on Brocade Blue cardstock, trim and adhere to the left edge of the main image. Woo... that was a lot of layering and paper piercing but it turned out cute, right?

All images copyright Paper Pretties. Stamps: Gliding By Sophia (January SOTMC image). Paper: Kraft, Bravo Burgundy, Chocolate Chip, Brocade Blue, Always Artichoke, PTI Select White, Green Plaid designer (Paper Pizzaz). Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Brocade Blue Classic, Copic markers. Other: Stars #2 die (Sizzix, available at Stampin' Up!), Wassail epoxy brads (Basic Grey), mat pack, paper piercer, Rectangle and Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities, Soft Sky double-stitched ribbon, dimensionals, sponge.

Meowy Christmas

Just wanted to stop in and quickly share a card! This one uses the Anna Wight Cozy Critters stamp set from Whipper Snapper and some of my favorite shades of blue and brown! ;) Very wintery... which is appropriate considering the extra cold weather outside. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that it warms up a bit (okay a lot) for tomorrow evening. I'll be out selling Christmas Trees for the Ann Arbor Jaycees again. I think I will be wrapping myself around the heater to stay warm! :)

Quick note: the sentiment was stamped in Whisper White craft ink and then covered with clear embossing powder and heat set. The snowflake pattern was created by embossing a piece of Bordering Blue cardstock with the Snow Dots embossing folder and then smooshing Whisper White craft ink onto the raised portions. The edges were also sponged with Chocolate Chip Classic ink.

All images copyright Whipper Snapper. Stamps: Cozy Critters. Paper: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Bordering Blue, PTI Select White, designer (Basic Grey). Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Whisper White Craft, Copic markers, black pen. Other: dotted ribbon (American Crafts), sponge, mat pack, paper piercer, Clear embossing powder, Snow Dots embossing folder (CuttleBug), Chocolate pearls (KaiserCrafts), dimensionals.

Four Snowflakes

What have you been doing this weekend? I've been making a list and checking it twice. Oh yeah, I still have Christmas shopping to do so I've been working on my last minute shopping list hoping to finish it all tomorrow. I can dream, can't I? I also put up my tree and decorated it. Woo hoo - it's beginning to feel like Christmas at my house! Lights on the window and a real wreath on my front door finish up the decorating.

I also have grand plans to actually address some Christmas cards so they can be mailed on Monday. Hmm... we'll see how that goes. Ha ha!

In the meantime I thought I would take a break from the never ending shopping list (must remember to pick up some shampoo too!) and share one of my latest winter creations with you! The only stamping on this card is the sentiment at the bottom. That is it. The rest is punching, glitter and paper!

I punched four snowflakes, sponged their edges with Close to Cocoa ink and adhered some glitter to their centers. These were then attached to 1" Chocolate Chip circles with dimensionals and affixed to a panel of Shimmery white cardstock. This piece was then adhered to a 4" sqaure of vellum. Next up was adhering the vellum to a 4" piece of designer paper. I just used a line of strong tape across the top which was then covered by ribbon when attaching all the layers together. I did this so it could be lifted and the pretty Wassail paper looked at. The designer paper was then layered on a 4 1/8" square of Chocolate chip, the ribbon knotted around all of these layers and then the whole shebang attached to a 4 1/4" Bravo Burgundy card base with dimensionals

Well I'm off to wrap a couple of gifts. A few down, several more to go!!!

P.S. What do you think of my new blog header? I was messing around the other day in Paint Shop Pro and made it! :)

Stamps: Winter Schminter (Whipper Snapper). Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Shimmery White, Wassail designer (Basic Grey), Vellum. Ink: Timber Brown StazOn, Close to Cocoa Classic. Other: snowflake punch (Martha Stewart), Chunky Crystal Glitter (Martha Stewart), Ripe Avocado Swiss Dots satin ribbon (PTI), dimensionals, 1" circle punch.

Pretties Thursday Penguin Style

Do you like penguins? I do! This little penguin from Paper Pretties always brings a smile to my face!

I paired him with some gorgeous Wassail paper and brads from Basic Grey and some pretty felt ribbon and snowflake from SU!. I really liked my clear button layered with a brad that I posted yesterday so I did the same for this card. And added a Felt Flurry to the mix for even more texture.

I sponged all layers with Chocolate Chip Classic ink and distressed with the distressing tool. I also added some paper piercing for even more texture.

A sentiment was stamped in Winter White Craft ink on Chocolate Chip cardstock and heat set. It was then affixed to the main image with two little brads from Basic Grey.

To create the triangles I cut a 3 1/2" square of Old Olive cardstock and cut in half from corner to corner. I did the same on a 3 1/4" sqaure of Wassail designer paper.

I think that is it for any special instructions... the rest was just using a whole lot of adhesive and dimensionals to adhere all of the layers together. I do so love my dimensions. :)

Prettie Wednesday: All My Fav Colors!

Two weeks ago Jodi challenged the rest of the Prettie Girls to use the following color combination: Real Red, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip. Three of my favorite colors in one challenge! This is definitely the challenge for me! Woot! :)

I used Trim the Tree Sophia (sorry, I used her again!) for the main image and colored with Copic markers. I ran the Baja Breeze cardstock layer through my Cuttlebug and embossed with the Snow Dots folder. I then inked the raised portions with my Whisper White Craft pad and heat set. Then I added a whole lot of accents - ribbon, buttons, brads and pearls. Hmm... wonder if I could have fit a clip in there somewhere too! :)

Welcome to the neighborhood!

I had to switch from making wintery/Christmas cards. I was going to overdose on all of the holiday goodness if I didn't! Not to mention those Chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip cookies I made. Yeesh, someone needs to take those away from me! :)

So what is a girl to do when she needs to switch themes? Dig through the pile of new rubbah that has been sitting there begging for some ink! From the pile I pulled out the Neighborhood of Simplicity stamp from Unity Stamp Company and my Copic markers (including the glitter pens) and had some fun!

Quick Notes: The sentiment is from the Birds of a Feather set. The main image and sentiment were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The houses were colored with Copic markers and accented with AtYou Spica glitter pens. For the sky I washed some Bashful Blue Classic ink onto the paper with an AquaPainter. I also coated the window panes with Crystal Effects.

Pretties Weekly Challenge

This week's Paper Pretties challenge is to use either the Simply Special stamp set or the One of Those Days set (or both if you'd like!) and the following sketch to make a card:

For more details on the challenge check out this thread in the Paper Pretties forum.

I decided to use the Simply Special stamp set and some of my new Urban Prairie paper from Basic Grey. I'm not sure why I picked a piece of designer paper with turquoise and celery in it! Ugh! I had the most difficult time making those colors work for me - although I do like the end result. I guess sometimes it is good to work outside your comfort zone. Naw... give me Brown and Blue and I'm a much happier crafter! :)

The main image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. I used a black pen to draw the line and masked the pot, plant and table and sponged some So Saffron Classic ink around the image to create the look of a wall behind the can. I then sponged the edges with Old Olive and layered on an Old Olive mat. I added a tiny little adhesive pearl to each corner. I just got those pearls and am loving them!

For the next layer I cut a couple of strips of Certainly Celery cardstock, stamped the Sanded background in Old Olive ink on both and the sentiment from the Simply Special set on just the one. I then inked the edges with more Old Olive Classic ink, paper pierced and added faux stitching with a white gel pen. These layers were than mounted on a piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock (also sponged with Old Olive) and Felt Flowers with button centers sewed to the left side of each. Yup... I used a needle and some linen thread to sew those puppies in place!

For the final layer I cut a piece of designer paper, sponged the edges, paper pierced, added faux stitching and layered on a slightly larger piece of Tempting Turquoise. To finish I added a bit of ribbon and assembled the card using lots of dimensionals of course!!

Stamps: Simply Special (Paper Pretties), Sanded Background (SU!). Paper: Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery, PTI Select White, Urban Prairie designer (Basic Grey). Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Old Olive Classic, So Saffron Classic, Copic markers, White Gel pen. Other: Flower Fusion Too, Designer Buttons, Linen Thread, mat pack, paper piercer, sponge, dimensionals, Champagne pearls (Kaiser), Ripe Avocade Swiss Dots Satin ribbon.

Just Chillin'

So what are you doing on this Saturday afternoon? I'm just chillin' (literally... it's cold out), doing a bit of cleaning and laundry and of course some stamping! Yay!

I made this card a few days ago and thought today was an appropriate day to share it! :) I used a couple of stamps from the Anna Wight cling set Cozy Critters and had some fun coloring. For the blue sky I masked the puppy and the ground and then sponged some Bashful Blue ink onto the cardstock. I can't wait until I can use my airbrusing system instead of sponging. I have almost all the pieces except the Air Adapter (on its way) and a 1/4 to 1/8 coupling for my air compressor (big bro has one he will give me when I see him at Christmas). I guess big obnoxious brothers are good for something besides picking on me! :)

I also added some glitter to the ground around the puppy's feet and the centers of the blue snowflakes.

Later gators - I'm off to eat some lunch and then hit the craft room!

All images copyright Whipper Snapper. Stamps: Cozy Critters. Paper: Chocolate Chip, Kraft, PTI Select White, Brenda Walton Peppermint Twist designern(K & Company). Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Close to Cocoa Classic, Bashful Blue Classic, Copic markers. Other: mat pack, paper piercer, snowflake punch (Martha Stewart), Crystal glitter (Martha Stewart), Riding Hood Red Striped ribbon, dimensionals.

Pretties Thursday on a Late Friday Evening

Yeah, I'm running a touch behind this week! ;) But I should have plenty of time to craft, shop and put up my Christmas tree this weekend. Woo hoo! Although I do have a couple of other activities planned like selling Christmas Trees for the Ann Arbor Jaycees. Sure hope it warms up between now and Sunday early evening because right now it is really really cold out. Brr! So if you are in Ann Arbor and need a tree stop by the Dollar Store across from Arborland and pick out a pretty tree and maybe bring me some hot cocoa please. LOL! :)

For my latest crafty card using Paper Prettie stamps I used the newly released Trim the Tree Sophia and some pretty Wassail designer paper. Yum! I also used Splitcoast Sketch Challenge SC205 for the layout. Although my main image is a bit bigger than the one in the sketch but that is cool, right?

Here is a closeup of Sophia - I applied a bit of glitter to the flowers on Sophia's paper pieced dress for a little bit of extra oomph.

All images copyright Paper Pretties. Stamps: Trim the Tree Sophia. Paper: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Creamy Caramel, Riding Hood Red, PTI Select White, Wassail designer (Basic Grey). Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Creamy Caramel Classic, Close to Cocoa Classic, Chocolate Chip Classic, black pen, Copic markers, Clear AtYou Spica pen. Other: silver brads, Wassail Glazed brads (Basic Grey), Riding Hood Red Striped ribbon, mat pack, paper piercer, dimensionals.

Pretties Wednesday: Heatin' It Up!

He he... what a misleading title considering this card is very frozen with all the snow and ice! I used the brand spanking new January SOTMC stamp: Gliding By Sophia and the newly re-released Snowflake Kisses. I really really love this Sophia - just too cute!

The challenge details: Two weeks ago I challenged the Prettie Girls to use their Heat Guns. For my card I heat embossed some white snowflakes on a blue background... 'cause you can never have enough snow right?

For more inspiration check out what the rest of the Prettie Girls have made for this week's challenge:
Charmaine Ikach
Jackie Pedro

Here is a close up of the super sweet new Sophia. I colored her with Copic markers and then masked so that I could sponge the background around her with Bashful Blue Classic ink. I also masked the ground around her feet to create the look of an ice rink, adding some Dazzling Diamonds glitter for an extra icy feel. Brrr....

To finish I stamped the sentiment a couple of times on Mellow Moss cardstock and cut out with a Word Window punch. These labels were then tied to the Chocolate ribbon with linen thread.

All images copyright Paper Pretties. Stamps: Gliding By Sophia (January SOTMC), Snowflake Kisses. Paper: Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip, Brocade Blue, PTI Select White, Snow Time designer (My Mind's Eye). Ink: Chocolate Chip Classic, Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMark, Copic markers. Other: Winter White embossing powder, Word Window punch, 1/4" circle punch, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, linen thread, heat tool, Chocolate Swiss Dots Ribbon (PTI), vintage brads, dimensionals.

* I've had several requests for a tutorial for this slider card. I'll be working on a nifty tutorial with lots of pictures this coming weekend so expect that in a week or two. :)

Paper Pretties Party Challenge

The party in the Paper Pretties forum earlier tonight was a lot of fun! Lots of announcements (the new Cutie Pie is LuvLee and Christi is joining the Prettie Girl team as a permanent addition) and some great challenges issued by Charmaine. One of the challenges was to make a card designed for a child. Well, I made a mini book instead 'cause I've been into the 3D stuff lately. What can I say, sometimes changing it up is good!

Book details: I made this with my niece Stephanie in mind. Each little page in the book is actually a pocket that can hold a wallet sized picture or two. Like the ones that kids exchange when they get their school photos. I also printed out a name text box that also has room for some notes on each page (gotta love that new printer!).

I uploaded a pdf of my page printout to 4Shared.com. You can download it here. And do the following to create your pages:
1.) Print out on 8 1/2" x 11" piece of card stock. Each sheet will create two mini book sheets - 4 picture pockets.
2.) Trim 1/2" from the left side and again from the right side.
3.) Cut sheet in half at 5 1/2" (from the top). You will now have two 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" pieces of cardstock.
4.) Score along the top at 1 3/4" - this will be just below the text.
5.) Then score from top to bottom at the halfway mark of 3 3/4".
6.) Next fold the top fold back and then flip the paper over. You should now have a pocket/flap at the bottom of the sheet.
7.) Finally fold the sheet in half with the pocket facing outward.
8.) Repeat until all of your pages for the book are complete. I ended up with 7 pocket inserts (or 14 pockets) - I messed up the eighth one.
9.) Add any stamping or decorating. I stamped some snowflakes in White Craft ink.

For the cover I used two 4" x 4" pieces of chipboard that I covered with designer paper. I then assembled the book using my handy dandy Bind-it-All. I usually assemble before decorating 'cause if you wait until after the cover is decorated it might not fit in the Bind-it-All when punching the binding holes. I used the Snowflake Kisses stamp set, a couple of Martha Stewart glitters, some Thickers sticker numbers and some yummy May Arts ribbon to decorate the cover.

All images copyright Paper Pretties. Stamps: Snowflake Kisses. Paper: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, PTI Select White, designer (My Mind's Eye). Ink: Versamark, Close to Cocoa Classic, Memento Rich Cocoa, Copic Markers, Whispher White Craft. Other: Snow and Crystal glitter (Martha Stewart), Heat 'n Stick powder, Thickers stickers (American Crafts), striped ribbon (May Arts), dimensionals, chipboard, white brad, 1" brown O-Wire.

A Little Sunday Somethin' Somethin'

Just catching up on some cards that I have made the last few weeks! These are from the class I had a week or so ago.

This first one uses the Season of Friendship set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I really really like this set. Couple of notes: The tree was stamped in Close to Cocoa Classic ink on Kraft paper and then cut out. The snowflakes were stamped in VersaMark on Bashful Blue cardstock, covered with Winter White embossing powder and heat set.

I also added a bit of sponging to the edges of the Bashful Blue layer and accented the card with brads and some satiny ribbon!

All images copyright Stampin' Up!. Stamps: Season of Friendship. Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Kraft. Ink: Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue, VersaMark. Other: Winter White embossing powder, silver brads, Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla satin ribbon, mat pack, paper piercer, sponge, dimensionals.

For the second card I used the Season of Joy stamp set and some Christmasy colors of paper and ink. Quick notes: the flowers were stamped in Ruby Red on Whisper White and cut out. Some Fine Cosmo glitter was adhered to the flower centers. On a piece of Certainly Celery cardstock the Christmas Chatter wheel was used with ink of the same color. On top of that the tree was stamped in Always Artichoke.

All images coyright Stampin' Up!. Stamps: Season of Joy, Christmas Chatter jumbo wheel. Paper: Confetti White, Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White. Ink: Ruby Red, Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip. Basic Black. Other: Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon, Rich Regal brads, mat pack, paper piercer, dimensionals, sponge, Fine Cosmo glitter.
